The roar of the crowd. The bright lights of Saturday night. The adrenaline pumping through your veins as you take the field, knowing millions are watching. This is the dream for many young athletes, and for University of Florida's star linebacker Teddy Foster, it's a dream he's worked tirelessly to achieve. But Teddy's story isn't just about touchdowns and tackles; it's a testament to perseverance and dedication.

StayGainesville is thrilled and honored to welcome Teddy to our StayGainesville REP Program. He can now share discount codes with his friends, family and fans for stays in Gainesville, FL. StayGainesville has vacation rentals (large and small) for football fans coming into town to cheer him on. They also have 2 beautiful historic Inns so that fans can stay comfortably for just a night or two and get pampered by the spacious sitting areas, indoors and outdoors, and unique rooms that beat the boring old hotel room.

History:

Fewer than two months after receiving his offer from Florida, and about one month after checking out the school on an official basis, Foster committed to the Gators on July 14, 2023.

UF, Miami. Southern California, North Carolina, Oregon State, Vanderbilt and West Virginia were among the Power 5 programs to place scholarship offers in Foster's inbox earlier this year. Fewer than two months after receiving his offer from Florida, and about one month after checking out the school on an official basis, Foster committed to the Gators on July 14.

Foster was a frequent visitor for Florida games during the 2023 season, having attended the Gators' matchups with McNeese State, Tennessee, Arkansas and Florida State.

"Amazing,” Foster described The Swamp to All Gators following Florida vs. McNeese State in Week 2. “Great environment. It was really fun in person, my first home game here ever, the environment, the fans. I mean, we took a loss week one, it was good to see the fan base come back, bounce back, full stands and just support the team.”

When Teddy signed with the Gators, it wasn't just joining a football team; it was joining a family. Head coach Dan Mullen, known for his player development skills, saw Teddy's potential on and off the field. He instilled a culture of hard work, dedication, and academic excellence within the program, values that resonated deeply with Teddy.

“I’m locked in. I’m a Gator,” Foster said minutes after helping the Cougars win the Class 1S state championship on Friday at Bragg Memorial Stadium. “We just got our new DB coach in. He’ll be in there Monday with the new guys and I’ll meet him next week sometime. I’m locked in. I’m a Gator right now. I’m a Gator forever.”

Not only is Teddy a phenomenal football player, but he is also an active volunteer in the community. Teddy helped with the Food4Kids Amazing Give drive: https://x.com/TeddyFoster_3/status/1783649834001457470 and also worked with Habitat for Humanity: https://x.com/TeddyFoster_3/status/1786826509283455212. Thank you for all you do, Teddy!
