IlenesGatorStore.com is the latest chapter in the memorable legacy of the Silverman family business in Gainesville.

The tradition starts with Silverman’s for Men and Women, Joseph Silverman’s famous, downtown clothing store which dates back to 1935 and lasted more than a half of a century. What began as The Collegiate Men’s Shop before the name was changed to his own, Silverman always remained true to his store’s downtown residence on the 200 block of W. University, resisting the move to new shopping centers opening in Gainesville.

Silverman’s for Men and Women finally closed in 1989, three years after his passing.

But it wasn’t long before the Silverman tradition was rekindled, this time in the form of Ilene’s For Fashion, a fashion boutique specializing in ladies clothing and accessories and designer Gatorwear.

IlenesGatorStore.com continues the family business – this time with a digital spin. Our new endeavor allows us to connect with Gator fans near and far, an online boutique for Gator supporters looking for orange and blue fashions who might not have the chance to visit us at the store in Gainesville.

We’ve assembled a terrific collection of Gator fashion apparel and accessories perfect for gameday, or simply anytime you want to show off your Gator spirit and look fashionable at the same time!

We’re very excited about our new online shop and line of Gator goods — and we know you’ll be too.

The team at IlenesGatorStore.com is committed to excellent quality, exclusive designs and dependable customer service, so please let us know if there’s anything we can assist you with or ways that we can improve your shopping experience.
