The Camellia Rose Inn

A Haven of Southern Charm: Why You Should Stay at The Camellia Rose Inn in Gainesville, FL

Address: 205 SE 7th Street, Gainesville, FL 32601

The StayGainesville Connection: StayGainesville's Susannah Peddie has known the previous owners, Pat and Tom McCants, of The Camellia Rose Inn since 2008. They were interested in hiring StayGainesville to manage one of their Hodges Apartment, but said that the Inn was for sale. Susannah had a light bulb light up in her head... she consulted with her StayGainesville partners, UF's Gregg Gelber and Ed Rodriguez, and the 3 decided that The Camellia Rose Inn would be a perfect fit for their business. They purchased the Inn in 2021 and have loved the experience. They have since purchased the Laurel Oak Inn, next door, and they have plans to make both place a hub for classes and events.

This meticulously maintained Victorian bed and breakfast isn't just a place to sleep; it's a portal to a bygone era of Southern hospitality and gracious living. Imagine waking up to the gentle chirping of birds, savoring a delicious breakfast on a wraparound porch, and exploring Gainesville from a central location steeped in history. Whether you're a solo traveler seeking a peaceful retreat, a couple yearning for a romantic getaway, or a family desiring a comfortable and charming base for exploring the city, The Camellia Rose Inn offers an unforgettable experience.

A Legacy of Elegance: Unveiling the Story of The Camellia Rose Inn

In 2008, it embarked on a new chapter, meticulously restored and transformed into a charming bed and breakfast. The current owners, Pat and Tom McCants operated with a commitment to preserving the Inn's historical character while providing modern amenities and impeccable service to ensure an idyllic stay for every guest.
